Creating a volume from snapshot is very easy. Simply follow the steps given below.

 

1.  Navigate to EC2 Dashboard -> Snapshots.

 

2.  Select the snapshot for which you wish to create volume.

 

3.  Click the Volume button above the list of snapshots.

 

The Create Volume dialog will be displayed.

 

4.  Select the type of the volume as Standard from the Volume Type drop down list.

 

5.  Enter the size of the volume in the Size text entry box.

 

6.  Select the zone from the Avaiability Zone drop down list.

 

7.  Click the Yes, Create button.

 

The standard volume based on the selected snapshot will be created.
