You can copy the snapshot of one region to another region.

 

Copying a snapshot is very easy. Simply follow the steps given below.

 

1.  Navigate to EC2 Dashboard -> Snapshots.

 

2.  Select the snapshot that you wish to copy.

 

3.  Click the Copy button above the list of snapshots.

 

The Copy Snapshot dialog will be displayed.

 

4.  Select the region to which you wish to copy the snapshot from the Destinaton Region drop down list.

 

5.  Enter the description for the copied snapshot in the Description text entry box.

 

6.  Click the Yes, Copy button.

 

The selected snapshot will be copied to the new destination.
