Creating a snapshot is very easy. Simply follow the steps given below.

 

1.  Navigate to EC2 Dashboard -> Snapshots.

 

2.  Click the Create Snapshot button.

 

The Create Snapshot dialog will be displayed.

 

3.  Select the volume for the snapshot from the Volume drop down list.

 

4.  Enter the name of the snapshot in the Name text entry box.

 

5.  Enter the description of the snapshot in the Description text entry box.

 

6.  Click the Create button.

 

The new snapshot will be created.
