1. In order to download SoftNAS and avail its services, you need to sign up and become a member of the SoftNAS community.

 

Signing up and downloading SoftNAS are very easy. Simply follow the steps given below.

 

1.  Open your browser and enter the SoftNAS website link https://www.softnas.com/ in the Address bar.

 

The SoftNAS home page will be displayed.

 

3.  Click on Purchase>Downloads.

 

The SoftNAS Download Registration page will be displayed.  Enter your first and last name, company name and email address to proceed with the download.

 

 

Press the Download button to register and download.

 

The Customer Downloads page will be displayed.

 

 

 

10.  In the SoftNAS for Microsoft Hyper-V section, click the Download Now button for the requied SoftNAS version based on either Hyper-V 2012 or Hyper-V 2008 R2.  version. In the above example, the SoftNAS for Hyper-V 2012 is being downloaded.

 

The SoftNAS for the selected platform starts downloading.  The standard Save dialog will be displayed.

 

   

4. Save the SoftNAS-HyperV2012 zip file to your computer.

 

SoftNAS for Hyper-V is delivered as an exported VM Import virtual machine image for Hyper-V.

 

5.  After the zip file is completely downloaded, extract the files to the server's hard drive.
