Maintenance Mode

Maintenance Mode

SNAP HA includes Maintenance Mode so that you can momentarily deactivate automatic failover and HA mode.  In order to enter maintenance mode you must perform the following in the correct order:

After maintenance is complete, you can re-add replication and SNAP HA™ using the standard procedure.

Delete HA

The first step to perform is to delete HA.

To delete HA

1. From the SnapReplicate™ HA panel, click on Delete SNAP HA.  You will be prompted to confirm your action.

At this point, automatic failover and HA are disabled, and you can move ahead to deleting replication.

Note: When you re-add SNAP HA™ you will not need to re-add the license.  The license key will be auto populated for your convenience.

Delete Replication

1.  In order to dissolve a SnapReplicate relationship between the two nodes, click the Delete Replication button.

The message box asking you to confirm the dissolving of the replication relationship between the two nodes will be displayed.

2.  Click the Yes button.

The replication relationship between the source and the target nodes will be dissolved.

Note: No data is deleted.  All volumes on both source and target nodes remain intact.  Snapshots associated with SnapReplicate on the affected volumes are purged; otherwise, no changes to pools or volumes occurs when the replication relationship is deleted.  The SSH relationship between the nodes is also dissolved, along with the PKI public/private keys and SSH login rights.
